Just into the new year and I am slowly getting back into a routine after the holidays. It has been a bit bumpy getting back into the routine of getting to bed early enough to get up on time. None of us has been too keen on getting up for school/work. I think we may have it worked out just in time for the weekend.

But, in the land of Little Hawk Yarns… I’ve been planning, trying to gather scattered thoughts, working on my master hand knitting project, and doing my Sales and Use taxes. In the midst of that my truck’s 4 wheel drive decided to start leaking so it is at the mechanic. Oh, and it is our only working vehicle at the moment so that makes things interesting. Luckily we live in town and can walk to just about everything we need at this point. It is reminding me though that my bike tires need some maintenance too. Oops. I’ve been putting some things off.

I’m almost there on the master knitting. I think my knitting is done save one swatch. I will know for sure after this weekend as I am going to go through, tag, and thoroughly assess each swatch, again. I also need to do the book work, reports, and questions. I really should do that instead of my blog, but I am not. I have really enjoyed the knitting process and learning process of this project. That said, I really don’t enjoy the report writing or keeping track of my research. I love to learn despite not being a great student. Well, to be more precise I’m not good at being a student.

Classes and plans for the shop… I’m working up some knitting and spinning classes for January and into February. Best place to find the updated schedule is on my Events of Little Hawk Yarns Facebook page. I have Knitting 101, Knitting Basics, and Basics of Spinning up and running. Class sizes are limited, but I am happy to add sessions if we fill up right away.

I am working on getting organized to be a collection point for Knitted Knockers as well. That is a little further down on my priority list so I’m not totally up and running. I have Kid Cotton yarn that is one of the approved yarns for this project so if you are feeling up to knitting some of these knockers please do! I’m happy to have you drop them off with me at the store and I’ll get myself organized.

All right… I have several other posts to work on and my homework is glaring at me from the corner. I’d better get on that.
