Feeling Behind

It doesn’t seem to matter how many times I start writing for here on my blog. 15 different things seem to interrupt every time. It is kind of how life is happening at the moment. It is a good thing but it does make it a bit difficult to get things done.

I have several irons in the fire at the moment. My Master Hand Knitting deadline is approaching very quickly. As a matter of fact, I should be writing for that and not on here. I’m accomplishing things while procrastinating others. Right on the tail of my Master Knitting deadline is a teaching certificate deadline. In between me and those two big deadlines are Christmas, a school break for the holidays, New Years, a couple of family birthdays, and the regular day-to-day of my business. Hmmm… Maybe I shouldn’t have knit other projects throughout the summer. Such as life. Now I pay for it by feeling those deadlines loom.

Let’s see… My other self imposed deadline is Christmas. I decided sort of last minute to knit both kids a pair of socks. At least I didn’t add my husband to that. Both kids have one sock done. My son’s pair at least is part way through the second sock too and I will likely cast on the second sock for my daughter today. I think I can get them done in time. It means a lot of knitting and not so much spinning at the moment but that is okay for the time being.

Little Hawk Yarns is moving along rather nicely. I have a wonderful space downtown and I’ve started to teach knitting and spinning classes out of there. Classes are small at the moment, but rather perfect for starting out. It means I get to ease into teaching and my students get some serious one-on-one attention. After the new year I will be adding some more classes and class times. We haven’t worked out schedules just yet, but that will come soon.

Now, I leave you with a link to my store web page. There have been several updates there as I’ve gotten new inventory in the last week or so. I hope you all have a happy holiday season! Happy crafting!
