Spring weather means more spinning

Crazy wind mixed with rain, snow, and hail. Oh Springtime! It does give me a couple of benefits though. It gives me time inside to spin and prep fiber and it gives my new baby trees the moisture they so desperately need. No complaints from me.

I have some exciting new fiber that I added to my stash. I have met up with a local alpaca person and am working on some of her fiber. What fun! It was so much fun to go out and meet the alpacas too. Once I get things figured out I will go back and take some pictures of her critters.

Let’s see, winter market season is done. Whew. I love market but it will be nice to have a month without going to town. Summer market starts the first weekend in June. Now, in addition to my own booth, I’ll be managing the market. Hooray and eek all at once. 🙂 I am really excited to be a part of this community and I really want to help the market do well.

Back to the weather a little bit. The only drawback to the weather is that I was going to work on washing some wool and building me a skirting table but I am not going out in this yuck for the extra stuff. Not when I know it is supposed to be nice this weekend. It can wait a few more days.

Off to do some more carding and spinning this afternoon…

About littlehawkyarns

I'm a gardener that is trying to provide good food for my family to enjoy. I have two children, two dogs, a husband, four chickens, and four cats. In addition gardening I enjoy handwork such as knitting, crochet, and sewing. I'm in the process of trying to learn tatting and embroidery as well. I am soon adding more critters to the collection since we just got property and I spin yarn.
