Craft Fair

Meh. The results were not impressive. I did get to eat a delicious chili lunch that came with a cinnamon roll. I got a bunch of spinning done too. But that was it. I had a couple of sales but not enough to make me do a craft fair again. Too much work for too little return. The farmer’s market is much better, shorter, and I enjoy it more. So it looks like that is where I’ll stay.

I must say that I’m looking at doing our local fiber fair as well though. That will be next September. I may try another fiber fair or two over the summer if there are any within an easy drive of me. I want to say there is one up in Rapid City that wouldn’t be too bad of a drive if the timing works for our family. I am such a home-body though; I much prefer doing stuff that I don’t have to drive a lot for. We aren’t even travelling for the holidays. Thank goodness!

Let’s see, do you think I can motivate myself to do some pictures and a Wovember post if I promise it to you? I am hoping to get some posted later today. I’m doing inventory of my products so today would be perfect for photos. As a teaser I’ll let you know that I’ve gotten several new wool yarns done and I found some great colors for wooly balls.

Now the promise: I’ll be back later today with photos! It might be much later but I will be back.

About littlehawkyarns

I'm a gardener that is trying to provide good food for my family to enjoy. I have two children, two dogs, a husband, four chickens, and four cats. In addition gardening I enjoy handwork such as knitting, crochet, and sewing. I'm in the process of trying to learn tatting and embroidery as well. I am soon adding more critters to the collection since we just got property and I spin yarn.

To bad about the Craft Fair. I did a craft fair once and cleared a whole whopping 25 cents for the day. UGH! Sometimes it isn’t worth it. Hope things go better for you later.
